A New Chapter

For the first time in our history, Solutions Not Suspensions has a new Executive Director, and we are entering an exciting phase of growth and transformation. We are looking for Board members who are not only aligned with our mission, but who are ready to roll up their sleeves and help establish the coalition as a lasting, sustainable force for equity and justice in education.

As a board member, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of the coalition, supporting long-term sustainability, and uplifting the voices of students and families most impacted by school discipline policies. This is a powerful opportunity to help shape an organization at a key inflection point in its journey.

We’re Looking for Board Members Who:

• Are committed to racial and educational justice

• Are excited about helping to build long-term organizational infrastructure

• Can offer support and creativity around fundraising ideas and strategies

• Can commit to attending monthly board meetings and ongoing collaboration

Ideal Board Members Might Be:

• Community leaders or educators passionate about equitable school practices

• Professionals with experience in youth development, organizing, law, philanthropy, or public policy

• Advocates for restorative justice and community empowerment
